Step 1: Set Up Your Appointment Calendar
Start by creating a dedicated Google Calendar for appointments. This keeps your personal events separate from your scheduling and provides a clear, professional booking experience for visitors.
Open Google Calendar and click the “+” button next to "Other Calendars."
Select “Create new calendar.”
Name the calendar something like “Appointments” and customize its settings.
Step 2: Create Appointment Slots
Use Google Calendar’s "appointment schedule" feature to define the times you're available for appointments. This allows visitors to book directly within these designated slots.
Go to the new “Appointments” calendar.
Click on any open time slot where you want to be available.
In the event creation window, select “Appointment schedule.”
Choose your preferred time slots and days for availability. You can also add buffers between appointments if needed.
Step 3: Get the Appointment Scheduling Link
After setting up your availability, Google Calendar will automatically generate a link that visitors can use to book appointments.
Once the appointment schedule is set, you’ll find an option to “Share appointment page.”
Copy the generated link for your appointment page.
Step 4: Embed the Appointment Scheduler in Google Sites
To make your scheduling feature easily accessible on your Google Sites page, you’ll embed the link you generated from Google Calendar.
Go to your Google Sites editor and navigate to the page where you want to add the appointment scheduler.
Click “Embed” from the insert panel.
In the "By URL" option, paste the link to your Google Calendar appointment page.
Adjust the size and layout as needed to ensure it fits well within your site's design.
Step 5: Customize the Display (Optional)
You can further customize how the embedded calendar appears on your site, making sure it fits seamlessly into the design. Adjust the calendar’s visibility, size, and layout to match your website’s aesthetic.
Step 6: Test and Publish
Before publishing the site, test the scheduling feature to ensure that visitors can successfully book appointments through the calendar. Once confirmed, publish the site with the new appointment scheduling functionality.
